Ñawi awapa translates to 'the eye of the textile'. The eye serves as a protector of the textile and the weaver. Traditionally, it is woven as a finishing detail that seals the edge of the textile.
This symbol is reinterpreted by placing the ñawi awapa in an irregular manner across the sweater. It reflects the idea that the journey is never a straight path, but one shaped by bends, yet we are always protected.
In Quechua, this winding form is referred to as q'enqo.

CARE & MAINTENANCE
This piece is made from 100% baby alpaca — soft, breathable, and self-cleaning by nature. To keep them looking beautiful for years to come, follow these simple tips:
- Airing is caring: After wear, simply air out your knit to freshen it up.
- Spot clean when possible: Alpaca naturally repels dirt, so small marks can be gently dabbed away with cold water.
- Hand wash only: If a full wash is needed, hand wash in cold water with a mild wool detergent.
- Dry flat: Reshape and lay flat on a towel, away from direct sunlight or heat.
- No hanging: Store folded to maintain the shape and avoid stretching.
- Gently brush if pilling appears: Pilling is rare in alpaca but use a soft garment brush or wool comb to carefully remove them if any appear.
